About the Role

SNDL, one of Canada’s largest cannabis companies, is on the cutting edge of product and packaging innovation—and we’re looking for a Technical Innovation Coordinator to help shape what’s next.

In this highly dynamic role, you’ll lead the development of new packaging formats for new product launches, tackle optimization projects, and navigate a regulatory environment that’s more complex than traditional CPG. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, evolving industry where change is constant—and opportunity is everywhere.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a curious, hands-on problem solver who wants to own their work, contribute big ideas, and grow alongside an evolving industry.

What You'll Do

  • Propose, develop, and implement new packaging solutions to support innovation across new product lines.
  • Design primary, secondary, and transport packaging to meet goals for cost, quality, time, compliance, and performance.
  • Act as a packaging SME within cross-functional teams (Operations, Procurement, Commercial, Supply Chain).
  • Build and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors across the SNDL facility network.
  • Create and maintain packaging specs and BOMs in the ERP system.
  • Monitor and guide packaging artwork through to final production, ensuring accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Support issue resolution via NCR/CAPA processes and printing/art file troubleshooting.

What You Bring

  • Degree in Packaging Engineering, Graphic Arts, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of packaging experience—CPG or regulated industries preferred.
  • Experience with packaging types like PET, corrugate, pouches, and flexible materials.
  • Strong project management skills and a detail-oriented, proactive approach.
  • Comfortable navigating evolving regulatory frameworks and complex problem-solving.
  • Independent thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Why This Role Rocks

  • You’ll help shape the packaging future of one of Canada’s biggest cannabis brands.
  • A rare chance to own your role, bring ideas to life, and be part of new product innovations from day one.
  • The cannabis industry is fast, evolving, and exciting—you’ll never be bored.
  • Make a real impact in a collaborative, forward-looking team that values action, positivity, and continuous learning.

Why Join SNDL?

  • Competitive total compensation and performance incentives
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, extended health, and healthcare spending account
  • A startup feel inside a leading company—entrepreneurial, innovative, and people-first
