Position Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Food & Beverage, this position is responsible for serving the guests at a counter, in a restaurant, buffet operation, banquet event or on a casino floor or other areas. Ensures adherence to all polices and procedures while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities
- Greets guests by name wherever possible
- Escorts guests to a table when applicable; presents menus; informs guests of daily specials
- Explains how various menu items or beverages are prepared
- Takes the guest orders; makes recommendations
- Serves the guests; checks to ensure satisfaction
- Prepares food and beverages if applicable
- Resolves guests issues or asks management for assistance
- Presents bill upon request and takes payment
- Cleans tables or counters; removes dishes; re-stocks where applicable
- Performs opening or closing duties as required
- Counts cash float at end of shift when applicable
- Covers other servers sections when required
- Exercises good judgment when serving alcoholic beverages
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and team members
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Minimum 1 year serving experience effective and service oriented communication
- POS experience
- Serving it Right Certification
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely,
- Regular casino, restaurant or bar environment, standing and walking f or long periods of time and non-traditional work hours
