Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Materials Handler is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient flow of materials into and out of our central warehouse. This role is essential to our production success by maintaining timely inventory transactions, supporting production with material preparation, and driving continuous improvement through lean and 5S principles.
This position is part of the Operations Department, located in London, Ontario, and will be on-site.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
- Receiving, verifying, and transacting raw materials, parts, and finished goods
- Preparing and delivering materials to designated locations using manual or powered equipment
- Inspecting materials for damage or non-conformance
- Performing ERP transactions and working with planners and inventory control
- Executing cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and updating cell boards
- Supporting KanBan processes and material presentation
The essential requirements of the job include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of material handling or related experience
- Experience with ERP systems and inventory transactions
- Familiarity with KanBan and lean manufacturing principles
- Must pass forklift driving test and maintain a clean driving record
