Our Materials Engineering, Inspection and Condition Based Monitoring team is currently seeking an experienced and driven Mine Mobile Equipment Inspector to support our Mine Production Unit at our Syncrude Mildred Lake Site. If you are experienced in Support, Medium Duty and Heavy Duty equipment, this may be an opportunity for you!

Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mine Mobile equipment maintenance.
- Experience with inspection and repairs of Medium duty and support equipment undercarriage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and forecasting skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Office, Excel, Power Point and Access)
- Proficient with SAP (creating notifications, viewing work orders, tracking component hours and uploading/ viewing work history, running reports for historical data)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present ideas and influence multiple audiences.
- Effectively collaborate with other departments to achieve an optimal solution to problems.
- Strong business decision making and ability to connect technical issues to business performance.
- High degree of networking/collaborative skill – able to relate in all disciplines/functions and provide a balanced perspective – excellent coach and facilitator.
- Perform mechanical integrity inspections on all undercarriage components at regular intervals during maintenance services.
- Use calibrated measurement tools to gather physical data while performing inspections.
- Maintain data sets for all measured data in a central database.
- Track all measurements using the UCT database.
- Update daily the intervention Forecast spreadsheet, for upcoming and completed work. As well as monitoring the maintenance four week schedule for optimum planning.
- Update and maintain the current fleet condition database.
- Update and maintain the frame condition spreadsheet.
- Effectively communicate inspection results through detailed reporting, emails and verbal communication in a timely manner so issues can be addressed as quickly as possible.
- Submit work notifications in SAP for all deficiencies noted in the field along with Risk Based Work
- Selection data. (probability/ consequence of failure and “last acceptable completion date”).
- Complete and submit month end stewardship reports
- Interface with maintenance and work collaboratively to resolve structural issues as quickly and effectively as possible.
- You will work out of our Syncrude Mildred Lake Site in Fort McMurray, AB
- The shift schedule is 5 days on /4 days off, 4 days on/ 5 days off rotation; 12-hour shift, with the potential for extended work hours or on-call duties, based on business needs
- This position is safety sensitive
- If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory. Relocation support may be provided; we offer competitive housing assistance to eligible individuals
