Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition and based out of our Langley office, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a key role in supporting recruitment and selection across both our Development and Construction divisions. This role is instrumental in delivering an open, inclusive, and values-driven hiring process—ensuring an exceptional experience for both hiring managers and candidates. You’ll be responsible for building strong relationships with prospective talent, and maintaining a positive, transparent candidate journey from start to finish. Success in this role requires outstanding organizational skills, a passion for providing excellent service, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

About The Role

  • Lead talent sourcing for key positions via established recruitment procedures and resources
  • Organizing and implementing recruitment and selection processes. including the creation of postings, shortlisting and screening applicants, coordinating and participating in the selection panels, reference checking and offer distribution
  • Supports the interview process including revising interview guides to be position specific and participating in interviews (virtual and on site) as required.
  • Develop a pipeline of talent and a network of potential candidates for future roles through various online and in person methods, including event attendance to build Marcon’s brand interest
  • Engaging in proactive recruitment strategies to generate pipelines of qualified candidates for current and future needs
  • Understand and communicate technical elements and requirements of various roles with hiring managers, candidates and other stakeholders, with a focus on creating great experiences
  • Developing, reviewing, and posting job adverts across multiple platforms
  • Review and improve recruitment and attraction processes and procedures
  • Manages employment offers and ensures a seamless handover to People and Culture Manager for onboarding
  • Participates in industry specific recruitment fairs
  • Partners with post-secondary institutions, educational programs and professional associations to promote Marcon Career opportunities and co-op programs;

About You

  • 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition, ideally within construction, real estate, or a related industry
  • Ability to thrive while juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
  • Ability to manage and maintain highly confidential information
  • Strong knowledge of full-cycle recruitment and effective sourcing strategies
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and time management
  • Strong administrative, negotiation, and persuasion abilities
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach and a positive attitude

The compensation range for this role is $60,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on candidate experience and qualifications.
