Job Summary

The HR Systems Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day management of computerized human resource and payroll systems. He/she oversees the design, implementation, delivery and support of SAP HR solutions, working closely with customers, project managers and all IT teams to maintain the integrity and accuracy of SAP system data.

Key Accountabilities

  • Act as a level 1, 2 and 3, resource member, in the SAP HR and Payroll field of expertise for the HR, Payroll and Operations departments.
  • Estimate and validate solution development efforts.
  • Configure the various SAP HR modules used: Payroll (PY), Personnel administration (PA), Organization Management (OM), Benefits (BN) and Time Data Transfer via cat6.
  • Implement Support Packs, legislative changes and OSS notes.
  • Write functional development specifications for various projects and change requests.
  • Write, perform and validate functional, integrated and regression tests.
  • Provide test result document to customers to obtain approval for production release.
  • Prepare and execute data conversions (Secatt, LSMW)
  • Document solutions according to the methodologies used and maintain documentation shared with customers.
  • Produce and maintain training material and train users.
  • Perform system data integrity checks, analyze impacts, determine action plan and apply corrective measures.
  • Assign security roles and authorizations to users and keep information lists up to date.
  • Plan and evaluate tasks for IT projects and develop work and actions to implement solutions that meet needs, within the required timeframes.

Job Requirements

  • Five (5) years' experience in configuring SAP Payroll modules and HR suite.
  • Two (2) years' experience in supporting payroll and year-end processes.
  • Experience in implementing Support Packs, legislative changes and OSS notes.
  • Experience in the vacation process.
  • Experience using and configuring interfaces.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose and solve problems, identify opportunities and make recommendations in a complex environment.
  • Ability to debug in-house and standard SAP programs.
  • Rigor and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to successfully complete assigned projects on schedule.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Knowledge of CAT6 (an asset).
  • Good communication skills.
