Job Brief
Working 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, the Bulk Truck and Emulsion Plant Relief Operator will travel to multiple mine sites located in the Arctic to provide proper staffing coverage.

What You’ll Do
As the Bulk Truck and Emulsion Plant Relief Operator, you will travel to multiple mine sites located in the Arctic to provide proper staffing coverage. You will work shifts at a variety of locations such as: Meadowbank Mines, Meliadine, Diavik, and Ekati. You will be responsible for loading, delivering, and unloading bulk products and packages as required. You are responsible for the safe and reliable preparation and delivery of products (bulk and packaged) to the customer. Other duties will include:

What You’ll Do
As the Bulk Truck and Emulsion Plant Relief Operator, you will travel to multiple mine sites located in the Arctic to provide proper staffing coverage. You will work shifts at a variety of locations such as: Meadowbank Mines, Meliadine, Diavik, and Ekati. You will be responsible for loading, delivering, and unloading bulk products and packages as required. You are responsible for the safe and reliable preparation and delivery of products (bulk and packaged) to the customer. Other duties will include:
- Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
- Determine the product mix, contract specifications and output volume for the day.
- Provide safe and effective operation of fleet and plant equipment
- Prepare requested product that is consistently mixed and blended within contracted specifications, regularly testing for quality control, and delivering product to the blasting pattern in a safe and timely manner.
- Load blasting holes in a manner which is safe, timely and provides optimum product performance
- Compliance with quality standards for operating the plant, receiving feedstock, blending correct ratios of raw materials, calibrating instruments, maintaining quality control, recording complete and accurate information and delivering product.
- Upkeep and maintain plant and office facilities.
- Completion of High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years of mechanical, commercial driving, or related work experience preferred
- Class 3 Driver’s License required with clean drivers abstract
- Previous explosives and/or mining experience a plus.
- Ability to work a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off (fly in/fly out) schedule
- Ability to frequently travel to different Dyno Nobel locations in the Arctic and work in extreme weather conditions
