Family Law Lawyer

Our client is seeking an experienced Family Law Lawyer to join its collegial team of family law professionals in Waterloo, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Ontario family law, a solid academic background, and experience resolving complex family law matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise and represent clients in family law matters involving child custody, parenting arrangements, access, child and spousal support, and property division.
• Handle complex family law disputes and develop appropriate legal strategies for clients.
• Negotiate settlements and work toward practical resolutions while protecting clients' interests.
• Prepare and review family law documents, pleadings, applications, affidavits, and domestic contracts.
• Conduct legal research and provide advice on relevant legislation, court procedures, and family law matters.
• Manage client files and maintain effective communication throughout the legal process.
• Prepare for and participate in court proceedings, conferences, and motions as required.

Qualifications And Requirements

• Experience practicing family law in Ontario.
• Thorough knowledge of DivorceMate.
• Experience resolving complex custody, access, support, and property matters.
• Strong academic credentials and a high standard of professional work.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and client-management skills.
• Ability to manage family law matters effectively and work collaboratively with a team.
