Shop Hand - Class 5 Licence

Job Summary

We are seeking a Shop Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Class 5 Licence, clean driver's abstract, and be open to learning new things. This role involves both independent work and collaboration with other team members.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A CLASS 1 DRIVER JOB.

Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Clean the interior and exterior of trucks and trailers
• Repair and install tires as needed
• Drive service truck to various locations to provide maintenance services
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
• Assist technicians with tasks as needed
• Perform spring and winter maintenance
• Attend and participate in safety meetings and inspections
• Utilize analytical and troubleshooting skills to address issues
• Utilize computer skills for various tasks
• Perform various other related duties as assigned

Physical Demands

• Handling materials manually
• Performing repetitive motions
• Bending or twisting the body frequently

Work Environment

• Work both indoors and outdoors, often in non-environmentally controlled settings
• Use standard safety equipment
• Exposure to dangerous chemical substances
• Work in extreme temperatures
• Operate hazardous equipment, machinery, and tools
• Exposure to loud noises and potential skin injuries

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Proficient with computers
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly work environment
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job
• Prior experience in a similar role is a plus
• Class 5 Licence
• Clean Driver's Abstract
