Position Summary
The Farm Machinery & Operations Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising daily activities, overseeing farm machinery operations, and ensuring the efficient maintenance of agricultural equipment and infrastructure. This position requires strong technical expertise, supervisory skills, and the ability to organize agricultural operations while maintaining safety, productivity, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, assign, and supervise daily agricultural tasks to meet operational and production requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and farm machinery operators.
- Operate, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot agricultural machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and agricultural infrastructure improvements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety, biosecurity, and sanitation procedures.
- Participate in training and evaluating agricultural employees.
- Oversee the installation, adjustment, and maintenance of irrigation systems, agricultural equipment, and greenhouse infrastructure.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements to reduce equipment downtime and improve productivity.
- Maintain accurate work records, equipment maintenance logs, inspection reports, and operational documentation.
- Coordinate with Cultivation, Processing, Sanitation, and Maintenance departments to support agricultural production.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, occupational health and safety requirements, and applicable agricultural regulations.
- Perform general farm duties and provide hands-on technical support as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3–4 years of relevant work experience in farm machinery operation, agricultural operations, greenhouse production, or agricultural equipment maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating work activities, training employees, or supervising agricultural operations.
- Strong technical knowledge of agricultural machinery, mechanical equipment, irrigation systems, and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Ability to independently organize work schedules, prioritize operational tasks, and coordinate agricultural workers.
- Knowledge of agricultural safety procedures, biosecurity practices, and workplace regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform physically demanding duties in a commercial greenhouse environment.
