Human Resources Systems Specialist - Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization

We are looking for a Human Resources Systems Specialist to join our People & Culture team for a temporary full-time contract, anticipated to be for 18 months. Reporting to the Manager, People & Culture Programs, the HR Systems Specialist – Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization is responsible for maximizing the effectiveness, efficiency, and usability of the organization's Human Capital Management (HCM) and Applicant Tracking (ATS) systems. This role works in conjunction with subject matter experts in People & Culture (Human Resources), Payroll, and IT to identify opportunities for process improvement, streamline workflows, improve data integrity, and enhance the overall user experience.
The successful candidate will bring a Lean continuous improvement mindset, demonstrating the ability to work within the constraints of a highly customized, complex, and sometimes rigid system environment. They will proactively identify inefficiencies, challenge legacy practices, and implement practical solutions that improve operational performance without compromising compliance or system stability.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; 3-7 years of HRIS experience, preferably supporting Peoplesoft HCM; demonstrated experience leading process improvement initiatives in HR or Payroll environments; and experience working within complex, highly customized enterprise systems.
During the recruitment process, applicants will be requested to provide a current Police Information Check (PIC).
We offer an attractive remuneration and benefits package for this exempt position, including a compressed work schedule. The salary range is $99,324.00-$116,844.00 annually (2026 rates).
