Research and Development (R&D) Technician

The primary responsibility include but are not limited to assembly and disassembly of test equipment per procedure and JHA, set up a wide range of instrumentation, conduct R & D tests per procedure, communicate with test requesters and internal lab team members, take effective test notes, operation of LabView based data acquisition and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-test, test, and post-test activities in the lab
• Execute testing based on test procedures
• Take pre and post-test photos, measurements, and preparation of equipment
• Assembly and disassembly of tests
• Set-up of instrumentation
• Operation of data acquisition, control, and lab equipment for testing
• Assist with management of R & D inventory
• Communicate effectively with R & D team and test requestors on test progress
• Contribute and participate in JHA development and pre-test meetings
• Contribute to R & D work improvements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Knowledge and experience with Stream-Flo equipment – valves, wellheads, SSS, etc.
• Knowledge of data acquisition systems and electronic instruments (such as pressure transducers, thermocouples, etc.)
• Knowledge of high-pressure plumbing
• Experience with Microsoft office
• Understanding of control systems
• Familiarity with hand tools
• Good written and verbal communication
• Strong commitment to HSE culture and requirements
