ServiceNow Senior Developer (35760)

Myticas Consulting is seeking a ServiceNow Senior Developer for a long-term contract supporting a federal government transformation initiative in Ottawa.

The successful candidate will provide hands-on development, configuration, integration and platform support across ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery and Security Operations.

Location: Ottawa, Ontario

Work arrangement: Five days per week onsite

Duration: Two-year contract with possible extension

Security: Active Government of Canada Secret clearance is mandatory

Expected start: September 2026

Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize ServiceNow Discovery schedules.
• Install, configure and maintain MID Servers.
• Configure Discovery credentials and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Develop and maintain Identification and Reconciliation Engine rules.
• Configure CI class structures, relationships and CMDB health metrics.
• Build CMDB dashboards, reports and monitoring solutions.
• Support Service Mapping and proof-of-concept environments.
• Configure Vulnerability Response and Security Incident Response capabilities.
• Integrate ServiceNow with vulnerability scanners, SIEM platforms and other security tools.
• Develop workflows, routing rules, notifications, assignment groups and SLA processes.
• Support security-data ingestion, normalization and workflow automation.
• Perform development, testing, troubleshooting, deployment and production support.
• Produce technical documentation and maintainable code aligned with ServiceNow best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Five or more years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong JavaScript development skills.
• Experience with Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions and Script Includes.
• Experience with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
• Hands-on experience with Discovery, MID Servers, CMDB and IRE.
• Experience developing REST and SOAP integrations.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow Security Operations and associated data models.
• Experience with testing, troubleshooting and production support.
• Active Government of Canada Secret clearance.
• Ability to work onsite in Ottawa five days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow CSA or CAD certification.
• Experience implementing CMDB, Discovery and Service Mapping.
• Experience integrating vulnerability-management or SIEM platforms.
• Knowledge of CSDM and enterprise-scale ServiceNow environments.
