Position Description

Currently, Tetranex is seeking a full-time Document Controller.

Responsibilities

  • Process drawing and document requests in accordance with internal and client procedures.
  • Perform quality checks on engineering drawings and documents, ensuring accuracy of title blocks and non-technical information.
  • Manage document revisions, transmittals, and version control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Organize, compile, and distribute work packages in accordance with client specifications.
  • Record, manage, and maintain project documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal project teams, clients, vendors, and other external contacts.
  • Control and manage documents across multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
  • Provide guidance and support to project team members regarding document control standards, procedures, and project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized project files.
  • Track incoming and outgoing supplier documentation.
  • Administer interdisciplinary squad checks.
  • Prepare and compile final documentation packages for project handover and closeout.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of departmental procedures and job instructions.
  • Support general project administration activities as required.
  • Utilize client document management systems and other project-specific systems as required.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a document control or document management role.
  • Experience working with engineering or project documentation; experience within an engineering, EPC, or EPCM environment is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of document management systems, document workflows, metadata, document indexing, and filing practices.
  • Experience working with varying client standards, procedures, and document requirements.
  • Understanding of document revisions, transmittals, version control, and project closeout requirements.
  • Experience compiling, organizing, and distributing work packages in accordance with project and client requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Highly attentive to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing projects, tasks, and requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an interest in improving processes and efficiencies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with McLaren EDMS is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu is considered an asset.
