What You'll Do

  • Deliver exceptional customer service that creates positive experiences for residents, businesses, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure payments and financial transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Safeguard the integrity of City financial records through accurate cash handling, balancing, and reconciliation practices.
  • Support the City's revenue collection processes by managing a high volume of transactions with speed and precision.
  • Provide timely and professional responses to customer inquiries, helping customers access City services, programs, and products.
  • Contribute to the smooth flow of daily operations through effective organization, attention to detail, and accountability.
  • Build trust and confidence in City services through professional interactions and consistent service excellence.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with the public in a customer service environment.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience balancing receipts, handling payments, operating computerized systems, and performing cashier or point-of-sale functions.
  • Formal customer service training is considered an asset.
  • Ability to accurately type a minimum of 8,000 numeric keystrokes per hour.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
