Housing Maintainer Technician.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Housing Maintenance Foreman, the Housing Maintenance Technician provides hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services across YKDFN housing units. This role focuses on plumbing, boilers, heating systems, and mechanical maintenance, while also supporting general building repairs and preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain plumbing, boilers, furnaces, and heating systems
- Complete general carpentry and building repairs
- Carry out minor electrical and appliance maintenance
- Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Complete work orders and maintenance records using the CMMS
- Provide respectful, professional service to community members
Qualifications
- Journeyman certification in a related trade or equivalent experience
- Minimum three (3) years of residential maintenance experience
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Ability to work on-call and respond to emergencies
- Experience working with a First Nation organization considered an asset
- Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check required
