Location: Medway Council, Chatham (Hybrid working available)
Salary: £52,921 – £57,554 (dependent on experience)
Market Supplement of £7,000
Annual Retention of £3,000

The Role
As An Independent Reviewing Officer, You Will
Chair looked after children reviews, making sure every child's plan is the right one and that it is actually being delivered.
Monitor the local authority's performance in meeting its responsibilities to the children in its care.
Hold the service to account where drift or delay is affecting a child, escalating concerns without hesitation.
Make sure children and young people are supported to understand and influence their own plans.
Build constructive working relationships with social workers, managers, carers and partner agencies.
About You
A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
Substantial post-qualifying experience within Children's Social Care.
Experience of chairing reviews or conferences, or the seniority and confidence to move into it.
The independence of mind to challenge constructively and the skill to do it well.
Strong analytical, recording and decision-making skills.
