Landscape Maintenance

Opportunity

We are now interviewing select candidates to join our in-house horticultural staff to help creatively maintain our extensive grounds and gardens in the rolling country landscape of King. In this role, you will assist other landscape team members in daily lawn cutting and horticultural maintenance activities on properties with farm, medical and residential environments. Familiarity, comfort and respect while working around a variety of domestic animals and the public is essential.

The Role

As a landscape maintenance crew member, your duties may include:

• Regular garden bed weeding
• Mulching
• Shrub and small tree pruning
• Planting
• Handling and application of soils, compost and aggregates
• Hedge trimming
• Garden bed edging
• Familiarity and care of battery and gas-powered lawn and garden equipment
• Prior experience with commercial grade grass mowers

• Prior work history in horticultural or landscape services is preferred.
• Ability and willingness to strive to maintain lawns and gardens to a high standard of quality is essential.
• Work actively outdoors full time in most weather conditions.
• Work as part of a team as well as independently on assigned tasks.
• Operate pruning tools and lawn equipment safely.
• Knowledge to be able to assist with routine maintenance of landscape equipment an asset

Schedule

5 days a week or reliably part-time, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM at our main location in King.

Available for special events or weather-related maintenance exigencies.

Compensation

$18-$23.00 per hour based on experience.
