Your Next Challenge

Reporting to the Mine Supervisor, you will be part of the Mine Operations Team! You will be responsible for providing underground services, including construction, development and production. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

• Demonstrate competence and awareness in relevant Underground HardRock Common Core;
• Housekeeping – keep work areas clean free from hazards;
• Communication – listen to and communicate with others, keep accurate records on 5 point card, aligning with daily tasks;
• Teamwork – work with others to meet and where possible exceed daily KPI’s set by Supervisor;
• Moves people, material and explosives into the cage;
• Maintains good housekeeping practices within the headframe, as well as all other work areas around the headframe;
• Assists shaftman/cagetender with shaft/manway inspections and maintenance if required.

What You Need To Succeed

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Miner 4 or equivalent;
• Physically Fit, self starter with can do attitude;
• Tolerance for cold, hot and humid environment, temperature variation;
• Demonstrated Safety awareness;
• UG Common Core(Ontario).

Your Work Schedule

• Schedule: 7/7 schedule at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
