YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Representing a focal point for Manufacturability and supports DFSC (Supply Chain) in regards to alternate materials to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Acting as a direct customer contact for all engineering activities.
  • Acting as a focal point for technical matters and collaborates across sales, supply chain, quality assurance, and manufacturing departments to support technical inquires.
  • Reviewing pre-release checklist.
  • Managing all customer engineering documentation.
  • Reviewing new POs in coordination with Customer Account Manager.
  • Translating engineering requirements into manufacturing process using standard tools and processes.
  • Releasing product batches in MES.
  • Managing internal MPIs and Change Notices.
  • Defining product assembly materials and materials setup.
  • Specifying requirements for product testing and drives test setup in coordination with customer and test technicians.
  • Offering expertise in customer products.
  • Providing and champions continual improvement and cost savings suggestions.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies and professional development training courses.

YOU NEED THE FOLLOWING TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of work experience in EMS or similar manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of MES and ERP softwares, BOM structures, routings
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing theory and practices, Lean for Process Improvement, and IPC Standards (IPC-A-610)
  • Knowledge of PCBA and packaged electronics manufacturing processes
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings and components datasheets
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and strong customer skills
  • Excellent problem analysis, problem-solving skills, and creativity in process design
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, time management, prioritization, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills
  • Ability to handle pressurized situation and multiple deadlines
  • Experience with NPI, customer interaction, project management, electronics manufacturing assembly processes, test engineering, and DFM
  • Highly professional, self-driven, creative, and goal-oriented personality with collaborative working style and ability to motivate and engage others
  • A true change champion who is able to articulate the ideas and is not afraid of taking risk, when necessary, in order to improve overall efficiency and productivity
