Blending Operator

As a Blending Operator, you will support day-to-day manufacturing and production operations within the blending department at Irving Blending and Packaging. Your goal will be to produce high-quality finished products through the safe and efficient operation, setup, calibration, and monitoring of equipment used in blending, processing, packaging, loading, and material handling activities. Your success will be measured by your ability to consistently meet production targets, maintain quality and safety standards, optimize operational efficiency, effectively troubleshoot routine issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Responsibilities
- Perform blending, processing, packaging, loading, and unloading activities to support production operations
- Operate, monitor, set up, and calibrate production equipment to ensure efficient performance
- Follow safety, quality, and regulatory standards while completing all work accurately
- Troubleshoot routine process and operational issues using technical knowledge and established procedures
- Complete production assignments independently while adhering to standard work practices
- Prioritize daily tasks and meet production targets and deadlines without compromising quality
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment through effective housekeeping practices
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to operational excellence Collaborate with team members and leadership to achieve production and departmental goals
Your Skills
- Demonstrated technical aptitude with the ability to apply technical knowledge, troubleshoot problems, and make sound decisions.
- Strong commitment to quality and safety, with keen attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures and regulatory requirements. Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing demands, and embrace continuous learning
Your Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a combination of education, training, and relevant work experience will also be considered
- Experience in manufacturing, production, processing, packaging, or industrial operations is considered an asset, particularly in environments focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence Experience operating production equipment, machinery, or process systems is considered an asset; relevant technical certifications, industrial training, and a demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality standards are preferred
