McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.

Position and Responsibilities

Responsible for operating circuits as per outlined procedures and guidelines.

Identifying, documenting and reporting any maintenance concerns to support continual improvement throughout the operation.
Responsible for handling materials weighing up to 50 pounds as part of routine duties.

Assist senior operators with routing and project related tasks as required.

Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the position:

grade 12 diploma or equivalent;
equivalent combination of education and experience considered;
valid class 5 driver’s license;
team player with excellent communication and organizational skills;
required to work both on surface and underground; and
work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.

Assets:

experience working in an industrial environment;
potable water treatment experience; and
level 1 and 2 water treatment and level 1 wastewater treatment certification.
