Distribution Supervisor - Cambridge (Night Shift – Sunday to Thursday 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.)

Position Overview

We are seeking an organized, hands-on, and results-driven Warehouse Distribution Supervisor to lead our warehouse and shipping operations. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the successful candidate will oversee daily distribution activities, ensure accurate order fulfillment, maintain inventory integrity, and promote a safe and productive work environment.

This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment and is passionate about coaching teams, improving processes, and delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse associates, shippers, receivers, and forklift operators.
  • Ensure customer orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on schedule.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Enforce health and safety policies, food safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop employees to achieve operational goals and performance expectations.
  • Monitor productivity, labor utilization, and key warehouse performance metrics.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping, inventory, and distribution discrepancies.
  • Work closely with Production, Customer Service, Transportation, and Supply Chain teams to ensure efficient operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and service levels.
  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, attendance management, and performance management activities.
  • Ensure warehouse equipment is properly maintained and operating safely.
  • Optimize warehouse operations through effective time management, dock and space utilization, and overall warehouse capacity planning.
  • Drive productivity and continuous improvement through efficient resource/labour management while maintaining best-in-class inventory KPI performance.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, shipping/receiving, and warehouse operations.
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
  • Valid forklift certification is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing and food safety practices is an asset.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
