ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist with a strong creative eye, someone equally comfortable planning a client’s content calendar, designing scroll-stopping social assets, and writing copy that sounds like a person while telling a story. You’ll own the day-to-day content and social presence for several client accounts, working closely with our Digital Marketing Coordinator and Operations Director to keep campaigns consistent, on-brand, and on schedule.

This role leans creative and content-first, complementing our performance/SEO specialist role, together you’ll cover the full spectrum of what our clients need, from what gets said and shown to how it performs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

– Plan, design, and schedule social media content across client accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and platform-specific formats)

– Design graphics, ad creative, and campaign assets using Canva and/or Adobe tools

– Write on-brand copy for social posts, captions, and light client-facing materials

– Maintain and manage content calendars across multiple client accounts simultaneously

– Support paid social campaign creative (working alongside the performance specialist on strategy/targeting)

– Monitor engagement and basic social performance metrics, flagging trends to the team

– Communicate directly with assigned clients on content approvals, revisions, and scheduling

– Track and log time accurately against client/project codes to support agency billing and capacity reporting

– Assist with branding projects and startup client packages (logo/brand asset support, style guide adherence)

WHAT YOU BRING

– 2-4 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or graphic design within a marketing context

– Strong graphic design skills and experience working with Canva and/or Adobe Express/Creative Cloud tools

– A portfolio showing real client or brand work, not just personal projects

– Comfortable managing multiple client content calendars at once without dropping deadlines

– Solid copywriting instincts; can adapt tone and voice across different client brands

– Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving agency environment where you wear more than one hat

– Bonus: basic video editing/Reels experience, or familiarity with SEO/paid ads fundamentals

  • Ability to collaborate with design teams on creative concepts, brand-aligned visuals, and integrated marketing assets.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms, such as social media management tools, email marketing systems, and basic web content management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and adherence to brand voice and style guidelines.
  • Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including handling multiple projects, deadlines, and client priorities.
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in agency, creative studio, or similar environments is an asset; knowledge of e-commerce and promotional products is beneficial.
