Chief Executive Officer
The Glebe Centre Long-Term Care Home & Abbotsford Community Programs
For nearly 140 years, the Glebe Centre has enriched the lives of seniors through compassionate care, innovation, and community service. Since 1886, it has earned a reputation as one of Ottawa’s most respected providers of long-term care and community-based seniors’ services. As a CARF-accredited, not-for-profit charitable organization, the Glebe Centre delivers a continuum of care through its Long-Term Care Home and community programs at Abbotsford. Guided by its values of Accountability, Compassion, Well-being, and Commitment, it is committed to dignity, respect, and quality of life for all residents, clients, families, volunteers, and staff.
The Glebe Centre enters a pivotal phase as Ontario’s seniors’ care system evolves in response to demographic pressures, regulatory change, and new models of care. The Board seeks an exceptional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization’s next chapter—strengthening core foundations while advancing innovation, partnerships, and long-term sustainability.
The Opportunity - Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Reporting to the Board of Directors through the Board Chair, the CEO leads the organization and holds accountability for strategic direction, operational performance, and long-term sustainability. The CEO advances the mission of the Glebe Centre while ensuring high-quality, person-centred care across all services. This role demands a leader who integrates strategic vision with disciplined execution, delivering operational excellence while positioning the organization for long-term success in a complex healthcare environment. The CEO will build on a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, ensuring responsiveness to residents, clients, families, and community needs.
