We are looking for a Shop Technician to report to our Sudbury location and service our water treatment equipment at customer sites in the surrounding area.
What your day will look like as a Shop Technician
- Evaluate, repair, and conduct mechanical and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps
- Operating industrial equipment in a shop environment such as forklift, overhead cranes, etc.
- Working with various Company provided hand and power tools
- Accurate record keeping inside Xylem’s work-order management system
- Create and maintain a safe and organized working environment and culture within the organization
- Take care of company property
- Demonstrates High Impact Culture through innovation, accountability and empowerment
- Must be able to function in a team environment
- Usually works with direct supervision but can work independently if needed

Position Requirements for a Shop Technician
HS diploma or equivalent
0-3 years technical experience preferred- industrial or commercial process water experience a plus
- Electrically and mechanically inclined
- Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability
- Comprehend technical information and communicate it clearly
- Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices
