The Team Manager, Sales Excellence & Performance, is responsible for leading, developing, and inspiring a team of Inside Sales Representatives to deliver exceptional customer experiences, achieve sales performance objectives, and embody Xplore's Sales Excellence standards. This role plays a critical part in transforming performance through coaching, leadership, and accountability, ensuring every customer interaction reflects a needs-based, customer-centric sales approach while driving strong business results.The Team Manager leads through consistent coaching and performance development, creating an environment where sales excellence is observable, measurable, and repeatable. Success in this role is achieved by developing frontline talent, reinforcing best-practice selling behaviors, utilizing performance insights and scorecards, and driving key outcomes including conversion, opportunity quality, installation completion, customer experience, and value-added service adoption.At Xplore, Sales Excellence & Performance Team Managers are coaches, culture builders, and performance leaders. Success is measured not only by what results are achieved, but by how those results are achieved.Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Inside Sales Representatives through a coaching-first leadership approach focused on skill development, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Coach and reinforce key sales behaviors, including needs-based discovery, value positioning, objection handling, offer recommendation, closing techniques, and customer expectation setting to drive performance against key business metrics.
- Conduct structured weekly coaching sessions using Sales Excellence scorecards, quality reviews, speech analytics, performance insights, and operational data.
- Use performance metrics to identify opportunities, remove barriers, improve team effectiveness, and drive results across conversion, opportunity quality, installation completion, customer experience, value-added service attachment, and productivity.
- Foster a culture of Sales Excellence by creating clarity, consistency, fairness, and accountability in performance expectations.
- Recognize and celebrate individual and team achievements while supporting employee growth, engagement, and the ongoing pursuit of Sales Excellence.
- Manage attendance and performance, complete annual performance reviews, and provide rotational leadership coverage as required.
- Partner with Inside/Direct Sales Management and Install Management to support team effectiveness and follow up on installation-related opportunities as needed.
An Ideal Candidate will have
- 2+ years of experience in Inside Sales, Sales Operations, or Performance Management.
- 1+ year of leadership experience, ideally supporting frontline sales teams.
- A college degree or diploma in any discipline.
- Strong coaching, communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- A proven ability to develop people through structured coaching, clear expectations, and fair performance management.
- A data-driven mindset with the ability to use scorecards, quality reviews, and performance insights to guide decisions and development conversations.
- A customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences and strong business results.
- The ability to create psychological safety while maintaining high standards and accountability.
- Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
