STATUS: FULL-TIME, TEMPORARY (APPROX. END DATE JANUARY 2027)

WAGE RATE: $26.020-28.046

Reporting to the Manager of Registration and Switchboard, this position consists of patient service for the registering, booking, interviewing, scheduling and confirmation of patient visits as the primary focus. It also includes scheduled order entry and data quality.

Required

Qualifications / Skills / Abilities

  • High school Diploma and/or post-secondary medical secretarial education or equivalent
  • Successful completion of PM Access (testing and training is available through Organizational Development and Learning)
  • Proven experience in clinical scheduling environment – which includes using Cerner ESM
  • Ability to utilize Cerner patient information system, which includes ADT procedures, FirstNet tracking & triage registration, statistical verification, census reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Patient-service focused
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Microsoft Office experience in Word (to be tested)
  • Typing – 30 WPM (to be tested)
  • Medical terminology (to be tested)
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
  • Capable of filing
  • Ability to work all shifts
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record
