Pay Range: $122,139 - $162,859
Join our Digital & Information Services team as IT Vendor Management Director. We're looking for a strategic and influential leader who can turn vendor relationships into business value and drive results.
In the role, you will develop and enhance SGI & SGI CANADA enterprise-wide IT vendor management strategy, influence key decisions, and build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
This position oversees the entire IT vendor management process, from identifying and procuring IT products and services to managing performance, costs, risks, and vendor relationships. You will work with internal and external partners, including multiple business units within SGI, Government of Saskatchewan ministries and crown corporations, and the IT Solutions Association of Saskatchewan. Together, you will ensure our IT vendor management aligns with provincial and industry standards.
What You will Bring
We want to hear from you if you have:
- Strong knowledge of IT agreements, procurement practices, governance frameworks, and financial management principles.
- Knowledge of the insurance industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing vendor management frameworks, governance models, sourcing strategies, and performance measurement programs.
- Strong knowledge of contract management, commercial negotiations, IT procurement, software licensing, cloud services, SLAs, and vendor relationship management.
- A passion for driving innovation, improving processes, optimising costs, managing risk, and delivering measurable business value through strong vendor partnerships.
- A relationship-focused leader who can balance strategy, governance, risk, finance, and technology.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships across external vendors, executive leadership, and business, legal, procurement, and technology teams.
The knowledge, skills, and competencies for this position come from a four-year degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology or Business, along with ten years’ experience in vendor management, including policies, performance, vendor risk, relationships, contract development and negotiation, and issue/dispute resolution, including experience supporting the development of others. A Professional designation such as the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), the Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or the Certified Technology Procurement Executive (CTPE) is also valued.
