Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. Role Purpose

Support safe and efficient mine operations by conducting accurate fire assay testing and precious metals analysis. Deliver reliable results that support operational decision-making while maintaining laboratory quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform fire assay procedures including weighing, fluxing, fusion, and cupellation.
  • Prepare and analyze ore-grade and high-grade samples with precision and attention to detail.
  • Conduct basic preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment and report issues.
  • Monitor laboratory consumables and maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Record testing data, quality control results, and laboratory observations.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following SOPs and site safety requirements.
  • Assist with sample preparation and other laboratory activities as required.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • High school diploma with experience in a laboratory, mineral processing, or technical work environment.
  • Basic knowledge of chemistry or mineral processing; formal chemistry education is an asset.
  • Ability to learn and apply fire assay techniques accurately and safely.
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn laboratory systems (LIMS).
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working 12-hour shifts.

The expected salary range for this role is 38.42 hour. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer extended to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history.
