SUMMARY

The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for cultivating key business relationships with new and existing customers through exceptional customer service and support.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handles customer queries and provides exceptional sales support including product sourcing, entering and expediting orders, preparing quotations, and troubleshooting order-related issues

  • Provides direct support to customers primarily through phone calls and email

  • Markets new products and services available from the company

  • Works closely with Inside Sales personnel to achieve common sales goals and objectives

  • Provides product solutions to meet customer needs

  • Cultivates key business relationships within assigned territory

  • Reviews regularly customer sales activity, identifies opportunities, and maximizes account saturation

  • Presents a professional image in all interactions and behaviours

  • Provides the highest level of service in accordance with the company’s quality system and ISO standards

  • Uncovers new sales opportunities and potential prospects through industry databases, networking, referrals, etc.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Post-secondary education: 2-year or 3-year Electrical Technology program
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Previous Electrical distribution knowledge/experience

LICENSES AND/OR PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION

  • CPSA (Canadian Professional Sales Association) certification

SALARY RANGE

  • $60,000 - $75,000
