Project Manager - Restoration Construction
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and technically strong
Project Manager to support the successful delivery of complex restoration and construction projects across Ontario. This role is ideal for an individual with an engineering background who can effectively combine technical expertise with hands-on project execution.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project scope, schedules, site coordination, and stakeholder communication while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage restoration and construction projects from initiation through completion.
- Coordinate project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation to support construction activities.
- Oversee site activities, monitor project progress, and ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and progress meetings as required.
- Identify, assess, and resolve technical and construction-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare project reports, schedules, cost updates, and progress documentation.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Support procurement activities, change management, and contract administration processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Previous experience in construction, restoration, or related project management roles is preferred.
- Strong understanding of structural systems, construction methods, and sequencing.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites across Ontario.
