The Canadian Union of Skilled Workers (CUSW) is currently recruiting
Journeyperson Electricians for work with Valard Construction in Fergus, Ontario.

Compensation
Total Wage Package: $74.64/hour
Breakdown
- Base Wage: $58.58
- Vacation & Stat Pay: $5.86
- Health & Welfare: $3.75
- RRSP Contribution: $6.00
Please Note: There is no Living Out Allowance (LOA) and no travel allowance associated with this project.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 10 hour shifts
- Hours worked beyond 40 per week are optional but strongly encouraged
Scope of Work
- Site cleanup and maintenance
- Ground grid installation
- Underground PVC conduit installation
- Cable pulling (small and large cable)
- Cable terminations
- Equipment setting and installation
- Fence and equipment grounding
- Substation installation as required
Requirements
Candidates must:
- Hold a valid Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician certification
- Speak and understand English
- Be prepared to work outdoors
- Supply their own tools in accordance with the collective agreement
- Safety boots
- High-visibility vest and/or long-sleeve high-visibility shirt (FR clothing is not required at this time)
