About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and Sales & Business Development Representative to help grow Nexsate’s client base.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships, opening new doors, and helping businesses find practical technology solutions. You will be responsible for identifying potential clients, reaching out to decision-makers, booking meetings, supporting proposals, working with technical and project teams, and promoting Nexsate’s managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, software, network, and fibre connectivity services.

You should have a general understanding of managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, network, and fibre connectivity services, with the ability to explain their business value clearly to customers. Deep technical expertise is not required, as detailed technical discussions and solution design will be supported by Nexsate’s technical experts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with small and mid-sized businesses.
  • Contact prospective clients through phone calls, email, LinkedIn, referrals, networking, and local outreach.
  • Book discovery calls, introductory meetings, and service presentations with decision-makers.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads and sales opportunities.
  • Learn about client challenges such as downtime, cybersecurity risk, poor IT support, connectivity issues, and lack of internal IT capacity.
  • Present Nexsate’s services in a clear, professional, and customer-focused manner.
  • Promote Nexsate’s managed IT, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, cloud, network, and fibre installation and maintenance services.
  • Support the preparation of proposals, quotations, presentations, and follow-up communications.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, activities, follow-ups, and opportunities in a CRM or tracking system.
  • Build positive relationships with prospects, clients, referral partners, and local business networks.
  • Represent Nexsate professionally at meetings, networking events, and business development activities.

Qualifications

  • Experience in IT service sales, business development, lead generation, customer service, or account management.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable with prospecting, cold outreach, follow ups, and booking meetings.
  • Professional, confident, friendly, and customer focused.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to explain services clearly without using unnecessary technical jargon.
  • General knowledge of managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, Microsoft 365, network, or fibre connectivity services is an asset.
  • Previous or current experience in a similar field is an added advantage.

Probationary Period

This role includes a three-month probationary period. During this period, Nexsate Technologies will assess sales activity, lead generation, meeting bookings, follow-up consistency, communication skills, professionalism, CRM discipline, and overall fit with the company’s business development goals.

Continuation after the probationary period will depend on demonstrated performance, proven sales ability, and alignment with Nexsate’s growth objectives.

Compensation

Compensation may include a combination of base pay, commission, performance bonuses, or a contractor arrangement, depending on experience, availability, and agreed sales targets.
