Role Description
The Family Physician will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages in an on-site clinical setting in Vancouver, BC. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, managing preventive care and screening, and coordinating referrals to specialists as required. The physician will deliver community-oriented family medicine, including urgent care when needed, while maintaining accurate medical records and supporting continuity of care. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals and participation in quality improvement activities are expected. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated competence in Primary Care and Family Medicine to manage a broad range of patient needs across the lifespan.
- Strong clinical skills in Medicine, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-based practice.
- Experience or training in Urgent Care for managing acute presentations within a family practice setting.
- Commitment to Community Health, including preventive care, health promotion, and population-focused interventions.
- Valid medical degree (MD or equivalent) and completion of accredited family medicine residency or equivalent training.
- Eligible for or holding licensure with the appropriate provincial regulatory body in British Columbia and in good professional standing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational skills, professionalism, and dedication to patient-centered, culturally sensitive care.
