Title: Executive Director, Northern Region
Salary: $144,565 - $170,076 - $195,588 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm (core hours 9am-3pm Monday-Friday)
Location: Onsite - FNHA's Northern Regional Offices, Lheidli T'enneh (Prince George, B.C.) preferred. A flexible work model may be an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy.
About The Role
Are you a visionary and strategic leader passionate about advancing First Nations health and wellness? As the Regional Executive Director, you will provide executive leadership to a diverse regional portfolio, guiding the delivery of programs, services, and operational supports that improve health outcomes and strengthen community well-being.
Working closely with First Nations communities, Regional Health Authorities, and FNHA leaders, you will champion partnership, innovation, and health system transformation. You will lead a high-performing team, drive regional and provincial priorities, and foster culturally safe, community-driven solutions that create lasting change for First Nations people throughout the region.
About You – Job Specifications
- University Degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
- Master’s Degree in a relevant field is considered an asset.
- Member of a regulated professional college is considered an asset (i.e. Nursing, Social Work, Psychology etc.).
- Recent, relevant and significant experience in leading health operations in a regional setting (usually acquired over a period of 10 or more years).
- Recent, relevant and significant experience in strategic leadership of diverse teams engaged in community engagement and operations (usually acquired over a period of 10 or more years).
- Recent, relevant and significant senior management experience in First Nations Health (usually acquired over a period of 10 or more years).
- Experience working with First Nations/Aboriginal people at a community and/or political level including work in the area of community engagement and community/organizational development and health.
- Relevant experience in leading transformation and integration.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
