THE HORIZON GROUP OF COMPANIES / AEDC
Help shape the next generation of strategic infrastructure, maritime, industrial, and Arctic development projects in Canada. These roles will provide support across the Horizon Group of companies operating as a corporate development & strategy team.
The Horizon Group of Companies are partnered together through investment and leadership from Horizon Atlantic Capital and represents a diversified group of companies ranging from maritime services, naval engineering, Arctic development and new venture investment. It is an entrepreneurial and fast-growing Group dedicated to bringing top-tier commercial excellence as an operator, investor and solutions partner. We are a Canadian platform designed to accelerate the multi-use projects, industries, partnerships and Indigenous inclusion essential to the country’s growth.
AEDC is currently recruiting on behalf of the Group, as focus will include supporting AEDC, Canada's dedicated Arctic infrastructure and logistics services provider.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Horizon Group is building a team of exceptional Associates and Analysts to help develop transformative projects across Canada. Working alongside experienced leaders, you'll contribute to projects that combine commercial strategy, Indigenous partnerships, public policy, and large-scale project development—gaining responsibility and exposure well beyond what is typical for an early-career role.
As an Associate or Analyst, you will play a key supporting role in the creation of project proposals, solution packages, and infrastructure offers. Working as part of a small and dynamic team, you’ll contribute to research, analysis, document development, and cross-functional coordination. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain experience in large project development, infrastructure, business case design, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical and writing skills with curiosity, initiative, and a desire to work on projects that make a real-world impact.

Coordination & Team Support

QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–5 years of work or co-op experience in infrastructure, strategy consulting, public policy, economic development, corporate finance or a related field. (1-2 years for Analyst roles).
- Strong writing and communication skills — able to clearly convey complex ideas in plain language
- Analytical and organized, with good attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a startup or fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
- Self-starter who can take initiative, ask good questions, and deliver consistent results
- Skills in presentation design (e.g., PowerPoint/Canva), data visualization, and financial analysis are considered strong assets
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for exceptional early-career professionals who are passionate about strengthening Canada and energized by solving difficult, meaningful problems. You enjoy bringing structure to ambiguity, learning quickly, and producing high-quality work that helps move important projects forward.
You'll thrive in this role if you are intellectually curious, commercially minded, and take ownership of your work. You're comfortable shifting between research, analysis, writing, financial modelling, stakeholder coordination, and project execution—whatever is needed to advance the team's objectives.
COMPENSATION
A competitive salary and performance-based incentive package will be offered, with opportunities for professional growth and increasing leadership responsibilities.
