Aurea Medical is a rapidly growing, multidisciplinary specialty clinic in Calgary, Alberta, dedicated to providing evidence-based outpatient care in Headache Medicine, Obesity Medicine, Women's Health & Menopause, and Musculoskeletal Medicine.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and increasing community demand, Aurea Medical is seeking physicians to join our team as associates, part-time physicians, or locums.

This is a turnkey opportunity allowing you to step into an established referral-based practice with immediate patient volume and no practice-building required. Our clinic is designed to maximize physician efficiency while allowing complete clinical autonomy and schedule flexibility.

We are currently recruiting physicians with a special interest in one or more of the following areas:

• Headache Medicine
• Obesity Medicine
• Women's Health & Menopause

Clinical Scope

Headache Medicine

• Comprehensive assessment and longitudinal management of migraine and other primary headache disorders
• Peripheral nerve blocks and trigger point injections
• Botulinum toxin injections following the PREEMPT protocol for chronic migraine
• CGRP monoclonal antibody and gepant therapies
• Infusion therapies for refractory migraine
• Evidence-based pharmacologic and lifestyle management

Obesity Medicine

• Comprehensive metabolic and obesity assessments
• Medical weight management using current evidence-based therapies
• Nutritional and lifestyle counselling
• Long-term follow-up and multidisciplinary care
• Management of obesity-related comorbidities

Women's Health & Menopause

• Comprehensive menopause consultations
• Hormone replacement therapy initiation and management
• Perimenopause and menopause symptom management
• Preventive women's health care
• Contraception and IUD services (where applicable)

There are no hospital responsibilities, on-call duties, inpatient consultations, or emergency coverage.

Ideal Candidate

We welcome applications from physicians with an interest in developing or expanding a focused outpatient practice, including:

• Family Physicians
• Physicians with enhanced skills or focused practice
• Anesthesiologists
• Internal Medicine physicians
• Specialists with experience in headache, obesity medicine, or women's health
• Physicians interested in developing expertise through mentorship and collaborative practice

Previous experience in these fields is welcomed but not mandatory for all positions. Mentorship and clinical support are available for physicians wishing to expand their skills.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

• Independent licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
• Eligibility for Alberta Health billing
• CMPA coverage appropriate to their scope of practice
• Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred care
• Interest in collaborative multidisciplinary practice
