Position Summary

Kromet International Inc. manufactures finished metal components and assemblies for the Appliance, Furniture, Automotive, Urban Transit and LED Lighting marketplaces. We are currently seeking a Millwright to join our versatile maintenance team in Cambridge. *Must have availability for all shifts

Pay: From $41.10 a hour

Skills and Experience

  • 433A Millwright
  • Exceptional ability to manage assigned tasks and prioritize to address production requirements.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude with a keen ability to identify, troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical problems.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repair of complex hydraulic systems used in automation.
  • Good knowledge of pneumatic control systems.
  • Ability to use PLC’s as a troubleshooting tool and be able to identify and replace various types of sensors, relays, solenoids, switches, etc.
  • Experience in the development of Preventative Maintenance activities, using a CMMS.
  • Confident in SMAW (Stick) and GMAW (MIG) welding with ability to fabricate assemblies using mild steel.
  • Confident in using machine tools to repair or produce small parts.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement practices and be involved in C I initiatives.
  • Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and adhere to all current safety practices and follow Company safety procedures.
  • Dismantle and reassemble machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Be a strong team player with focus on communicating effectively to other team members to minimize misinterpretations.
  • Work under pressure to quickly and effectively resolve issues to maintain production efficiency.
  • Ensure breakdowns and maintenance of the aluminium extrusion equipment is executed in a safe and timely effective manner.
  • Identify and replace defective mechanical parts of various machines used in the Fabrication of aluminium extruded parts, Automatic Saws, Stamping Press, CNC, etc.
  • Perform preventative maintenance as per PM schedule and complete documentation as required.
  • Align and adjust equipment using hoists, jacks, and hand tools.
  • Work from heights using various ladders and mobile elevated platforms
  • Use lift truck with various attachments to facilitate maintenance.
