Opportunity for Maternity Leave Coverage in Revelstoke – Flexible GP/ER Locum

Hello,

I’m reaching out to see if anyone might be interested in covering a 1-year maternity leave starting this November, 2025 in Revelstoke, BC.

My Current Schedule Is Approximately

• 2.5 days/week covering my family practice panel (approx. 750 patients)
• 0.5 days/week of walk-in clinic (same location)
• 1 ER shift/week (day or overnight)

One weekday off per week and post call days after an overnight ER shift.

8 weeks off per year.

We have a Doctor of the Week program that covers all inpatients, which I usually do one week per 2-3 months.

The clinic is very supportive and well run. We have amazing colleagues, with GP surgery and GP anesthesia on-call to help with your questions in clinic or traumas/ sick patients in the ER.

Clinic work/ doctor of the week is paid under LFP, and the ER is under APP contract. There’s also room for flexibility depending on your interests—if your practice style differs slightly from mine, we can likely adapt the schedule to make it work.

I don’t do OB, but if that’s something you’re interested in, you could likely join that schedule. Alternatively, if ER isn’t your thing, it may be possible to work without it.

I’m open to creative arrangements—whether you’re looking to cover the full year or just a portion, I’d love to hear from you.

My husband will also be taking some paternity leave (length TBD), so if you have a GP partner or friend who’s interested in working in Revelstoke for a bit, this could be a great fit for both of you!
