The Anxiety and Illness Behavior Lab and the Cognitive and Neural Mechanisms of Anxiety Lab are seeking a full-time lab coordinator to assist both labs with various administrative and research-oriented duties.

The successful applicant will be responsible for administrative tasks such as purchasing materials, submitting work orders, answering phone and email inquiries, organizing project materials, maintaining contact with third-party research companies (Qualtrics, Metricwire, Polygon, etc.), and scheduling meetings.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for assisting with and/or overseeing the day-to-day activities of multiple graduate-level and/or externally funded research projects. The tasks the research assistant can expect to complete include completing literature reviews, writing Research Ethics Board applications, screening articles for network or meta-analyses, editing manuscripts for publication, and assisting with data cleaning. Position Requirements

  • Recently completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Interest in anxiety and mental health research
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Prior research experience in the psychology field is considered an asset
  • Experience with statistical analysis packages (e.g., SPSS, R) is considered an asset
