Purpose
We are seeking a Junior Recruiter to support day-to-day hiring activities with a strong focus on candidate outreach, screening, and coordination. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who is eager to learn, comfortable speaking with people, and motivated to take ownership of recruiting tasks in a hands-on environment.
The position requires a high level of energy, initiative, and discipline. The successful candidate will be responsible for actively sourcing candidates, making outbound calls, and supporting the hiring process from initial contact through interview coordination, while maintaining organized records without automated systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and direct outreach.
- Conduct high-volume outbound calls and initial phone screenings.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews using email and calendar tools.
- Maintain organized candidate tracking using spreadsheets and shared documents.
- Post job openings and assist in updating job descriptions as needed.
- Support hiring managers by sharing candidate summaries and feedback.
- Follow up with candidates and maintain consistent communication throughout the process.
- Build basic candidate pipelines for recurring roles.
- Ensure a professional and responsive candidate experience.
Your Ideal Background
- 0–2 years of experience in recruiting, customer service, sales, or similar people-facing roles.
- Strong communication skills and comfort speaking on the phone regularly.
- High motivation, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and stay organized without structured systems.
- Basic proficiency with Excel, email, and calendar management.
- Good judgment when evaluating candidates and handling sensitive information.
- Interest in recruiting for technical or industrial roles is an asset.
- Bilingual (French and English)*.
- The position requires a very good knowledge of English, both oral and written. The position involves reading and understanding technical documents in English on a daily basis, especially from international companies, as well as regular communication with customers, suppliers and other international stakeholders.
