We are seeking a strategic, hands on Business Unit Controller to join the senior leadership team of a premier manufacturing organization.
In this role you will oversee all financial and accounting functions for the business unit while serving as a key strategic advisor to plant operations and executive leadership

Financial Analysis & Decision Support:
- Operational insights - deliver monthly financial statements with deep dive variance analysis, identifying key trends
- Strategic Modelling - lead business case development, financial modeling and competitor analysis to evaluate profitability and drive value creation
*Capex - review and financially justify major appropriation requests
- Complex Accounting - apply robust accounting & valuation concepts to support decision making (fixed asset evaluations, capital leases, valuation reserves)
- Plant Performance - partner closely with operations and plant management to analyze standard cost variances, inventory valuation and manufacturing performance
- Risk Mitigation - oversee internal controls , identify process gaps
- Budgeting and Forecasting - lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Leadership - direct and mentor a team (includes AP, AR, Accountant)

Qualifications:
- CPA professional designation is required
- 7+ yrs of progressive experience within a large complex manufacturing environment
- Expertise in standard costing, inventory management and plant level operational analysis is required
- Financial modeling skills required
- A credible, agile, self starter who can work autonomously
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- ERP systems and Excel required
