SIGN is seeking an adaptive, solution-focused Counsellor to join our Rapid Access Counselling Clinic. This role provides client-centered, outcome-informed counselling services using brief intervention approaches to support individuals experiencing mental health and wellness challenges.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely access to mental health services while supporting program evaluation, reporting requirements, and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide single-session and brief therapy services in a walk-in counselling setting
  • Deliver client-centered, wellness-focused mental health support
  • Assist with case management and clinical documentation
  • Collaborate across agencies and community partners to enhance service coordination
  • Participate in case consultations, program planning, and case management activities
  • Maintain accurate client records and caseload statistics
  • Ensure safe work practices and compliance with organizational policies
  • Protect client confidentiality and uphold professional ethical standards
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant professional and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counselling, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • 3–5 years of experience in frontline human services, including:
  • Counselling and clinical services
  • Case management
  • Crisis intervention
  • Program management
  • Grief and loss support services
  • Eligible for professional registration/licensure with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (or relevant professional body)
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and reliable transportation
  • Successful Criminal Record Check
