Float Operator

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Float Operator (AZ) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe loading, securing, and transport of heavy equipmentWorking a balanced 7/7 rotation, you will play a critical role in keeping our field operations moving efficiently and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Transport: Safely load, secure, transport, and unload heavy equipment using float, flatbed, and travelling axle trailers.
• Inspections: Conduct and document thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain fleet safety compliance.
• Compliance & Paperwork: Accurately complete and submit all required administrative paperwork, including load sheets, driver logbooks, and bills of lading or delivery tickets.
• Safety Adherence: Strictly follow all company safety policies, workplace procedures, and commercial vehicle regulations.
• Teamwork: Collaborate effectively and work well with dispatchers, site supervisors, and ground crews.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Licensing: Valid Ontario AZ driver’s license with a clean commercial driving abstract.
• Specialized Experience: Proven experience in heavy equipment transport using float, flatbed, and travelling axle trailers.
• Physical & Mental Aptitude: Hands-on experience with chaining, strapping, and securing heavy machinery.
• Asset: Knowledge and experience operating multi-axle combinations is considered a strong bonus.
