The successful candidate is a technically strong Functional Consultant with prior experience bridging business needs and system solutions, ideally within the Canadian commercial real-estate lending industry. They bring strong communication skills, sharp attention to detail, and a genuine curiosity for understanding how the business operates end-to-end. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, your key responsibilities will encompass:

• Requirement Discovery & Analysis: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team. You will lead discovery sessions to gather, analyze, and refine business requirements, ensuring technical teams have a deep understanding of the underlying business intent.
• Functional Design & Process Mapping: Translate complex business needs into functional specifications. This includes mapping "As-Is" vs. "To-Be" business processes, conducting gap analyses, and designing functional logic (user flows, business rules, and data requirements) that informs our technical architecture.
• Technical Translation & Documentation: Develop and maintain high-quality functional documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, process flow diagrams, and configuration decisions. You will ensure that the "functional blueprint" is clear, actionable, and supportable long-term.
• Software Implementation & Testing Leadership: Partner with technical teams throughout the SDLC. You will lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including bug triage and defect management, ensuring that every released feature meets both functional specifications and business objectives.
• User Enablement & Adoption: Drive the successful adoption of new tools across the organization. You will create user guides, lead training sessions, and act as a subject matter expert to ensure our team can leverage our platforms to their full potential.
• Continuous Improvement: Partner across the organization to identify opportunities for automation and innovation, contributing to KV Capital’s drive toward an exceptional customer experience and operational excellence.

YOUR CAPABILITIES AND CREDENTIALS

To excel in this role, you must possess:

• 3–5+ years of experience as a Functional Consultant or Business Analyst within a software development environment, ideally within Financial Services, Fintech, or Commercial Real Estate.
• A proven ability to perform deep-dive gap analysis and translate manual business processes into structured, digital workflows.
• A strong understanding of enterprise platforms (CRM, BI/Analytics, Lending Systems) and the fundamental logic behind system architecture (data models, permissions, workflow automation, and integrations).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a specialized ability to "translate" between high-level business strategy and granular technical requirements.
• Sharp attention to detail and a structured, analytical approach to problem-solving.
• A self-starter mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
