SLB is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Calgary Supply Chain team as a Logistics Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the domestic movement of assets, materials, and equipment while supporting import/export activities as required. You will serve as the primary logistics point of contact for Business Lines, ensuring shipments are planned, executed, and delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

This role offers the opportunity to drive logistics performance, support business continuity, and contribute to cost optimization initiatives while working closely with Supply Chain, Import/Export, and operational stakeholders across Canada.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary logistics focal point for Business Lines, supporting domestic transportation requirements and shipment execution.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute shipments by selecting appropriate transportation modes, routes, and approved carriers.
  • Validate transportation requests, delivery requirements, and service levels to ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery.
  • Monitor shipment progress, proactively resolve operational issues, and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, brokers, and internal teams to ensure efficient logistics operations.
  • Support import/export activities, including shipment coordination, documentation review, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate logistics records, work orders, and system data while ensuring audit readiness and compliance with QHSE standards.
  • Identify opportunities for logistics optimization, carrier performance improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or a related operational environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with SAP or similar logistics systems is an asset.
  • Knowledge of import/export processes, freight operations, and transportation regulations is preferred.
  • Dangerous Goods certification or experience handling regulated materials is considered an asset.
  • CIFFA, CCS, or other logistics-related certifications are considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada without company sponsorship.
