Job Type: Part-time Contract

Start Date: July 2026, 6 months with possibility of extension.

Salary: $38 – $42 per hour depending on experience.

Hours of work: 20 hours per week (0.5 FTE), within the hours of 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Benefits: A comprehensive health, drugs, vision and dental package and Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP). No other benefits are provided with this contract.

The Georgian Bay Family Health Team is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Leadership Team. This part-time contract offers an opportunity to contribute to a progressive, collaborative healthcare organization dedicated to improving access to high-quality primary care for our communities.

Georgian Bay Family Health Team (GBFHT) is a progressive, interdisciplinary team and an active partner in the South Georgian Bay Ontario Health Team (OHT), with strong community relationships across the region. Services include Lung Health, Healthy Aging, Nutrition Counselling, Cardiovascular Rehabilitation, Mental Health Counselling, and Telemedicine.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Leadership Team.
  • Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, and schedule appointments.
  • Prepare agendas, meeting packages, correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documentation.
  • Record and distribute accurate meeting minutes and follow up on action items.
  • Assist with Board and committee meeting logistics, including preparation of governance materials.
  • Organize and maintain electronic files and confidential records.
  • Coordinate special projects and assist with organizational initiatives as required.
  • Liaise professionally with physicians, staff, Board members, external partners, and stakeholders.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience as an Executive Assistant or in a senior administrative support role.
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, formatting, sorting/filtering, and data management.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Experience supporting Boards, committees, or senior leadership within a healthcare or not-for-profit environment is considered a strong asset.
