The City of North Bay invites applications for the position of Water Meter Clerk. Under the direction of the Manager, Tax and Water, acts as the primary customer service representative in the Water Department for water meter/consumption enquiries and complaints and is responsible for water billing including adjustment, corrections and Public Works charges. Performs daily analysis and troubleshooting of the Risk Assessment Reports from the Fixed Area Network (N_Sight) water meter reading data for irregularities, and meter reading accuracy. Prepares and posts journal entries for adjustments to the water and sewer accounts.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Education
• Three (3) years’ experience in areas of administration, analysis, customer service
• Demonstrated excellence in customer service skills and experience
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and deal effectively with the public
• Knowledge of computerized billing and customer service systems
• Experience in computer software applications (excel, word) and keyboarding
• Demonstrated ability to run system integrations and trouble shooting
• Knowledge of the water billing system and tax billing system
• Proven ability to perform day to day activities independently and with limited or no supervision
• Excellent analytical skills
