We are currently looking for a Laser Punch Operator Assistant to join our Punching Department.

Only candidates who live in Metro Vancouver will be considered for this position.

As a Laser Punch Assistant, you will

  • Assist Laser/Punch Operators with daily production activities.
  • Load and unload sheet metal materials and finished parts.
  • Support machine operations by preparing materials and organizing parts according to work orders.
  • Perform basic quality inspections using measuring tools such as calipers and gauges.
  • Sort, label, and prepare parts for the next stage of production.
  • Perform basic deburring and part cleanup as required.
  • Follow production instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 6S principles.
  • Learn laser and punching machine operations with support from experienced operators.
  • Support other departments and production activities as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication environment is an asset.
  • Ability to read and understand basic work instructions and drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
  • Willingness to learn CNC laser and punching equipment.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to safely lift and handle sheet metal materials.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • CSA-approved steel-toe boots are required (other PPE provided by the company).
